JAMES CRAIG RUTLEDGE Tupelo - Craig Rutledge, 79, died Sunday, June 30, 2013, at the Green Houses At Traceway. A Tippah County native, he was born August 19, 1933, to James Henry and Sarah Wade McCoy Rutledge. He retired from insurance sales after 48 years of service. After retirement he enjoyed working as a bus driver for Tupelo Public Schools. He was a long time member of West Main Church of Christ where he led the singing for many years. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at The Jefferson Street Chapel with Bro. Doug Greenway officiating. A private family graveside will be held at 4:00 p.m. at Tiplersville Cemetery. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors will be in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include one son, Craig Rutledge, Jr. (Nancy) of Dalton, Georgia; two daughters, Carol Lumsden (Ben) of Abbeville and Cindy Parker of Tupelo; four grandchildren, Drew and Natalie Parker and Kaleb and Keegan Thornton all of Tupelo; one sister, Betty Rutledge of Tiplersville,MS; one brother, Bob Rutledge (Jane) of Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 54 years, Ginny Rutledge. Memorials may be made to the Russian Missionary Fund through West Main Church of Christ, 2460 W Main St. Tupelo, MS 38801.
