CORY EASTMAN
Pontotoc- Cory Gavin Eastman, 32, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2025. Born on April 4, 1992, in Tupelo, Cory was the beloved son of Jim Eastman and Tammy Sue Carnathan Jeffries.
Cory lived in Pontotoc with his wife, Leah. They were married in March of 2018 and shared 15 years of love and partnership. One of Cory’s last employers was Premier Cabinets. While working at Premier, Cory developed lasting friendships and loved crafting marble.
He had a deep love for music and skateboarding. But above all, Cory will be remembered for his loyalty to the people he loved. He would do anything for his friends and family—always ready to help, always willing to give. Cory gave love to those along his path, those from broken homes and broken relationships, those overcoming addictions, those embarking on a new beginning.
Cory is survived by his wife, Leah Frost Eastman of Pontotoc; his 13-year-old daughter Alexa Eastman; his parents, Jim Eastman of Greenville, South Carolina and Tammy Jeffries of Tupelo; two sisters, Courtney Kelly (Heath) and Amandelyn Eastman; two brothers, Trey Eastman (Emily) and Justin Eastman (Kelsey); along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Cory was preceded in death by his grandmother, Sue Carnathan; his first cousin and best friend, Cody Carnathan; and his stepfather, John Mark Jeffries.
Services honoring Cory’s life will be announced at a later date.
