CORINNE COOLEY TAYLOR
Tupelo - Corinne Cooley Taylor, 87, died Tuesday, March 13, 2007, at North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. She was born December 22, 1919 in Tremont to the late John Garvin and Rosa Elmira Hiden Robinson and grew up on a family farm in Itawamba County. She was Cafeteria Manager for Rankin Elementary School for many years. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed sewing and flower gardening. Her fondest memories were of family gatherings. She had been a faithful and dedicated member of Harrisburg Baptist Church since 1945.
Services will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Dr. Forrest Sheffield officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Cooley and wife, Wanda, of Marietta, Ga., Bill Cooley, Jr., and wife, Kay, of Tupelo; one sister-in-law, Pat Cooley, of Tupelo; her grandchildren, Amy Robin McNeil and husband, Bob, of Crestview, Fla., Mark Andrew Cooley and wife, Cynthia, of Marietta, Ga.; two great-grandchildren, Carrie McNeil and Ethan McNeil; a niece, Rebecca Jones of Huntsville, Ala.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Bill Cooley, Sr.; her second husband, Lowell Taylor; a son, Jack Cooley; two sisters, Sue Harbor and Madeline Maxey.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
