Corinne Green

Corinne Green Saltillo- Evelyn Corinne Green, 89, after an extended illness and a commendable fight she left this world on July 29, 2015, to be with her Lord where she will no longer experience any pain or discomfort. She was born April 10, 1926, to John and Vena Hill Young. She spent most of her life in the Unity Community. She worked at Reeds Manufacturing Company for almost fifty years, serving as a floor lady supervisor for many of those years. This sweet lady was loved by all she came into contact with. She loved taking care of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and waiting on the entire family. Before age took its toll, she loved fishing and camping and could land a 10 pound channel catfish with a fly rod putting many a man to shame. She was a faithful member of Saltillo First United Methodist Church and a sweet, sweet spirit to all she met. Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2015, at Saltillo First United Methodist Church with Rev. Tim Green officiating. Burial will follow at Unity Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. She leaves behind one daughter, Lottie Cruber of Beech Springs; one son, Jonny Green (Brenda) of Saltillo; three grandchildren, Dawn Hester (Don) of Beech Springs, Mandy Murff (Jim) of Tupelo and John Michael Green of Tupelo; six great-grandchildren, Brooke Harris (Allen) of Beech Springs, Garrett Hill, Rivers Murff, Emery Murff, Montana Murff and Macon Murff all of Tupelo; special nieces, Judy Ballard and Saundra Dye; special nephew, Sonny Phillips and a beloved dog, "Buster". She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Green; her parents and one sister, Trula Faye Phillips; son-in-law, Jimmy Cruber. Pallbearers will be Sonny Phillips, James Cates, Johnny Dye, Don Hester, Allen Harris and Sammy Rice. Visitation will be 4 until 7 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Saltillo United Methodist Church and 10 a.m. until service time Friday, July 31, 2015.
