Saltillo- Corey Michael Kowach, 42, died unexpectedly Saturday, October 29, 2022 at North Mississippi Medical Center. Corey was born on May 23, 1980 in Anaheim, California. He is the son of Edward Michael Kowach and Patti Jean Jones Kennedy.

First and foremost, Corey was a proud and active father to his son, Drake. On any given weekend they would be traveling to concerts, camping, or attending Drake’s Jiu Jitsu competitions. He also enjoyed listening to music of multiple genres, playing disc golf, traveling to the mountains, and gunsmithing. For the past six years, Corey was the Shipping Lead at FXI in Baldwyn.

Corey leaves behind his son, Drake Edward Kowach; his parents, Edward Michael Kowach of Saltillo, and Patti Jean Kennedy and her husband, Patrick, of Tupelo; one sister, Dena Kowach of Guntown; two brothers, Casey Kowach of Guntown and Derek Kennedy of Tupelo; seven nieces and nephews, Ally, Trey, and Hannah Cleveland, Bailey, and Brayden Kowach, P.J., and Liam Kennedy; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Ginny Jones, and Tom and Jean Kowach.

Visitation will be 12 p.m. until service time Saturday, November 5, 2022 at W. E. Pegues, Saltillo.

Services honoring Corey’s life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2022 at the Saltillo Chapel of W. E. Pegues.

Pallbearers will be Drake Kowach, Edward Kowach, Casey Kowach, Derek Kennedy, Trey Cleveland, and Brayden Kowach.
