CLYTEE WOOD Belden - Clytee Wood, 98, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013, in the care of hospice at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born in Lee County on January 4, 1915, to James and Maude Spearman. She spent her early married life farming and raising her children. After grandchildren came along, she was helping to teach them. She loved to travel, and after her husband passed away, she took trips with the Belden Baptist Church group, family and friends. She loved holidays and good times at home with her family. She always took the time to be there for them when they were sick or in need. She loved gardening and raising flowers and was considered the green-thumb of the family. Private stateroom services will be Friday, March 15, 2013 at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo with Rev. Jim Holcomb and Rev. David Smith officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Survivors include her daughter, Marion Frances Williams (George); three grandchildren, Terry Williams (Dianne), Mitch Williams and Wanda Williams Brewer; four great-grandchildren, Jennifer Weems (Mitch), Elaine Collins, T.J. Williams (Amanda), Taylor Williams, Pam Warrington (Ryan) and Christy Burrow (Lee); twelve great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; three special friends, that she loved as daughters, Christine King, Tara Sneed and Ember Sneed She was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Wood; daughter, JoAnn Morgan; sister, Estelle Markham; seven brothers, Clovis, Henry, Ernest, Oscar, Cecil, Virgil, R.Q. Spearman; and her parents. Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013 at the funeral home and continue on Friday from 1 - 2 p.m.
