Saltillo - Clyde F. Dunaway, 82, died Friday, July 16, 2010, at Tupelo Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after an extended illness. A Saltillo native, he was born July 8, 1928 to Earnest and IcieYielding Dunaway. For 15 years, he worked at Mid South Packers as a sausage maker. He was also a former roofer. Some of the things he loved to do was gardening and fishing, and having long sit down talks with his friends. He loved his family and enjoyed family gatherings. He was a member of Lighthouse Assembly of God, which he loved.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 19, 2010 at The Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. Roy Loftin , Rev. Merle Floyd , and Rev. Larry Dunaway officiating. Burial will be in Saltillo Cemetery.
Survivors include three sisters, Annie Sanders of Saltillo, Birtie Gooch of Booneville, and Opal Gammill of Saltillo; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and several brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers will be Josh Dunaway, John Gooch, Craig Wilson, Matt Dunaway, Dale Robinson, Lee Dunaway, and Jeff Dunaway.
Visitation will be 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday, July 18, 2010 at the Saltillo Funeral Home.
