CLIF CLIFTON Mooreville - James Henry "Clif" Clifton, III, 54, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013, at his residence surrounded by his family. A Tupelo native, he was born June 10, 1959, to James Henry, Jr. and Shirley Annette Scruggs Clifton. Clif lived most of life in Lee County. After twenty years of service, he retired from Cooper Tire. Clif greatly enjoyed the outdoors, spending his time hunting, fishing, boating, riding his 4-wheeler and watching TV with his devoted pet and companion, Dewey. He loved his family and was a member of the Eggville Church of Christ. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Bro. Leon Willis officiating. A graveside service will follow at Lee Memorial Park. Survivors include his wife, Michelle Clifton of Mooreville; four children, Mike Clifton (Jennifer) of Mooreville, Valarie Clifton of Starkville and Krista and Jennifer Clifton both of the home; three grandchildren, Caleb Clifton of Pontotoc, Kaiden Dupree and Brady Clifton both of Mooreville; one sister, Anita Clifton Wolf (Lee) of Baldwyn; one brother, Charles Clifton (Shannon) of Tupelo; his parents, Jimmy and Annette Clifton of Tupelo/Iuka. Pallbearers will be Mike Asters, Lee Wolf, Tim Brock, Rick Roberts, Steve Krueger and Dick Rice. Memorials may be made to The Sanctuary Hospice House, PO Box 2177 Tupelo, MS 38803. Visitation will be 5 - 8 p.m. Monday, August 5, 2013, at the funeral home.
