CLEO ADDISON
Mt. Vernon - Cleo Addison, 95, died Thursday, June 8, 2006, at after an extended illness. A Lee Co. native, she was born September 24, 1910 to the late Aaron Walter Vinson and Lillie Belle Baldwin Vinson. She loved music and played the organ. Her family will remember her as an excellent cook and a joyful person. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
Services will be 3:30 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2006 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. Roger Smith officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
Survivors include three sisters-in-law, Louise Vinson of Mt. Vernon, Doris Vinson, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Lottie Addison of the Macedonia Community; and many nieces and nephews. Her caregivers were the Rosewood Residence, Shearer-Richardson Nursing Home, and Community Hospice Staff.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Alton Addison; seven brothers and four sisters.
Visitation will be 1:30 to service time Friday, June 9, 2006.
