CLAYTON EDWARD HOLST

TUPELO - CLAYTON EDWARD HOLST, 89, died Wednesday, August 23, 2006, at The Sanctuary Hospice House after an extended illness. A Minniapolis native, he was born July 31, 1917. He was a retired US Air Force Major, and served in WW II, Korea, and Vietnam. He was responsible for plans and training troups. He also worked for General Electric on the space program from 1962-1972, assisting with Apolo 13. He was a Methodist

A Memorial Service for the family will be announced later. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Donna Ray Holst of Tupelo; two sons, Tom Holst of St. Petersburg, Fla. and Jerry Holst of Florida; three step-children, Roy Park and wife, Meredith, Jamy Park, and Donna Callahan and husband, Mike, all of Houston; six grandchildren, James Park, Heather Park, Terra Collums, Wes Park, Jeremy Callahan, and Gregg Callahan.
