CLARK GOODLETT STRAIN
Tupelo - Clark Goodlett Strain, 75, died Monday, June 19, 2006, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. A Tupelo native and lifelong resident, he was born December 11, 1930 to the late Cecil Clark and Etta Josephine Goodlett Strain. He graduated from Tupelo High School and then went on to University of Mississippi where he was a member of the Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. He had worked as an independant insurance agent for 51 years and was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at All Saints Episcopal Church with Rev. Gene Asbury officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Suzy Strain; two children, Josie Gillentine and husband, Michael, and Gray Strain and wife, Christie; two grandduaghters, Kaitlynn Satterfield and Alison Gray Strain; three cousins, Robert C. Leake, Medford M. Leake, and Joney Holley, all of Tupelo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one uncle, Frank Oliver Goodlett.
Pallbearers will be Lindsey Leake, Blair Hill, Jerry Holley, Jack Treloar, Jimmy Treloar, and Steven Treloar.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Rob and Mim Leake.
