CLARINE MCCAINE
Tupelo - Clarine Clayton McCaine, 86, died Monday, June 19, 2006, at her residence after a brief illness. A Greenwood Community native, she was born August 10, 1919 to the late Prentiss Carl and Myrtle Martin Clayton. She had worked for many years at Reeds Manufacturing. She enjoyed crocheting, playing dominoes, reading and her pet parakeets. She was a member of the Baptist church.
A memorial service will be 3:30 p.m. Thursday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Terry Ledbetter officiating.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Jo Carrier and fiance, Jack Penix, of Sherman and Donna Cantrell and husband, Ray, of Tupelo; one sister, Charlene Weathers of Tupelo; eight grandchildren, Brent Cantrell and wife, Amy, of Rienzi, Judith Weatherford of Tupelo, Wayne and Cory Neal of Nettleton, Carmen Greco and husband, Bruno, of Cedar Hill, Mo., Shea Hunter of Nashville, Tenn., Josh Carrier of Memphis, Tenn., Amy Kelly and husband, Tommy, of Guntown; five great-grandchildren; special friends, Sam and Hannah Piraino; and residents of the Timberlawn Apartments.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Paul Clayton; and sister-in-law, Wilma Clayton.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Weathers, Mark Clayton, Sam Piraino.
Visitation will be 2:30 until service time at the funeral home.
