CYNTHIA SCOTT Belmont - Cynthia Ann "Cindy" Scott, 52, passed away suddenly Thursday, August 8, 2013, at her residence. She was born January 11, 1961, to Hareston and Nana Faye Johnson Scott in Aiken, South Carolina. Formerly of Saltillo, Cindy grew up and spent most of her life in Saltillo until recently moving to Belmont. She was a graduate of Saltillo High School in 1978. She began her career in helping others at the NMMC. Ready for a change, she moved to Alabama in the furniture industry. Cindy was always ready to help any and everyone that needed it. She was a family person and a loving sister. She enjoyed life, her tomato garden and her dog, Max. She attended Euclatubba Batist Church. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, August 11, 2013, at The Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. Scotty Witcher officiating. Burial will be in Saltillo Cemetery. Survivors include one sister, Teri Posey (Glen) of Saltillo; one brother, John Scott of Satillo; two nephews that she called her boys, Justin Posey (Hannah) of Shreveport, Louisiana and Jordan Posey of Saltillo; numerous aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her parents; paternal grandparents, Horace and Annie Doris Scott; maternal grandparents, Leonard Mark and Gertrude Johnson. Pallbearers will be Jordan, Justin and Glen Posey, Randy and Timmy Franks and Dave Ashton. Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 2013, at the funeral home.
