Cindy McCollum

Mooreville—Cynthia Kaye “Cindy” McCollum, age 65, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024 at the North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice Unit after an extended illness.  Cindy was born in Tupelo on March 30, 1958, the daughter of Eugene and Sylvia Howle Rayburn.  She enjoyed simple activities such as working in her yard and spending time with friends and family.

Cindy leaves behind her husband, James McCollum; her mother, Sylvia Rayburn; two sons, Christopher and Steve Rayburn; sister, Genia Toler; nieces, Krystal Haynes and Amber Gourley; a nephew, Dillon Gourley; stepdaughter, Shauna Raymond (Jim); and a grandson, Shaw Harlow.

She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Rayburn; and a sister, Sherry Gourley.

The family will honor Cindy’s memory with a memorial service at a later date.  Pegues Funeral Directors has been entrusted with the arrangements.
