Baldwyn—Charles Clelan “Chuck” McCullough Jr., 64, passed away Friday, April 5, 2024 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. Chuck was born March 23, 1960 in Tupelo, the son of Charles McCullough Sr. and Ruby Murlene McCullough. He was married to Terri Barnett McCullough and they enjoyed 42 years together before her passing in December of 2021. Chuck lived 32 years in Lilburn, Georgia before returning to North Mississippi in 2021 due to his wife’s illness. He worked for International Brands as a route driver for many years. Chuck was an avid Ole Miss fan and a talented golfer. His dog Josey was his constant companion. A true people person, Chuck will be greatly missed by his many friends and family.
Chuck leaves behind two children, Lacey McCullough and Cody McCullough both of Baldwyn; his grandson, Cael McCullough of Norcross, Georgia; a sister-in-law, Becky Russell (Bo) of Saltillo; three brothers-in-law, David Lawrence (Janice) of Kirkville, Tracey Barnett (Sherill) of Baldwyn, and Tim Barnett (April) of Guntown; his very best lifelong friend, Michael McMillan of Florida; and his nurse, Makayla, who was very important to him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Terri.
A memorial service honoring his memory will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April13, 2024 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues with Rev. Danny Robbins officiating. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at Pegues, Tupelo.
Honorary pallbearers will be Michael McMillan, Mike Funderburk, David Lawrence, Bo Russell, and Tracey Barnett.
