CHRISTIE COKER HOLMES Tupelo - Christie Coker Holmes, 39, died Wednesday, October 16, 2013, in Tupelo after an extended illness. She was born April 6, 1974 to Debbie Hosmer Coker. An avid reader, she loved to read and soaked up knowledge; she was the Cliff Clavin from Cheers. Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, October 26, 2013 at her Mother's home. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery in Mt. Pillar Cemetery beside her daughter. W. E. Pegues is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include her daughter that she loved dearly, Sullivan Grace Holmes; her mother, Debbie Hosmer Adkins (Henry); four sisters, Kelly Crowley, Julie Stoddard, Rebecca Adkins and Kacy Heal (Timothy); twelve neices and nephews; one great-aunt Glenda Clardy. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Savannah Coker; maternal grandmother, Virginia Hosmer; sister, Connie Rickles and her father, Joseph Adkins.
