CHRISTINE OLSON Mooreville - Christine Olson, 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at the Baldwyn Nursing Facility. She was born in Laurel, Mississippi on August 22, 1932, to William Elbert and Onie Irin Rials Tucker. On December 30, 1950, she married George Albert Olson in Jackson, Mississippi. She was a faithful wife and wonderful homemaker, a compassionate, thoughtful, caring and loving mother; she enjoyed cooking, gardening and sewing. She was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Hurt officiating with reflections given by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Joyce Olson, daughter, Deborah Frederick and son, Dennis Olson. A graveside service will follow at Auburn Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include her husband of sixty-three years, George Olson of Mooreville; daughters, Deborah Frederick (Robert) of Amory and Vicki Scott (Charles) of Newton, North Carolina; sons, David Olson (Joyce) of Southlake, Texas and Dennis Olson (Leesa) of Aurora, Colorado; sisters, Essie Brewster of Mobile, Alabama and Loyce Dyar (Hilton) of Flowood; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Hazel McMillan; brother, William Tucker. Pallbearers will be Jared Bounds, Capt. Preston Patton, Jeffrey Scott, Hunter Scott, Jeff Colburn and Jimmy Sullivan. Honorary pallbearers will be the Senior's Group of Calvary Baptist Church. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, April 28, 2014 at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
