CHRISTINE HERREN Tupelo - Christine Herren, 89, died Monday, August 6, 2012, at the Green Houses At Traceway. She was born in Mantachie on October 8, 1922 to Audie and Mittie Meeks Beene. She was a graduate of Itawamba Agricultural High School. She was co-owner, with her husband, of Christian Supply Services in Tupelo. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was actively involved with the children's programs including teaching Sunday school. She was also very active with her husband with the Gideon Organization. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Dr. Gayle Alexander and Rev. Dave Jensen officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Survivors include two children, Susan Cantrell of Tupelo and Jan McDonough of Jackson; three grandchildren, Tina Wilson and Robin Cantrell, both of Tupelo and Eric Riggs of Brandon; five great-grandchildren, Carissa Anderson (Daniel), Holly Wilson, Rebekah, Victoriah and Isabellah Riggs; one great-great-grandson, Vincent Anderson; two nieces, Kay Brown and Fay Carrol Reid. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Herren in 1993; her daughter, Phyllis Herren in 2007; her parents; her brother and her sister. Pallbearers will be Tommy Collins, Mike Maynard, Bryan Henderson, Danny Brown and Tommy Chandler. Honorary Pallbearers will be Wayne Turner and Bobby Simmons.
