CHRISTINE FRANCIS
Tupelo - Christine Freeman Francis, 87, died Sunday, July 28, 2013, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a sudden illness. She was born August 18, 1925, to Curtis and Mamie Ann Strawbridge Freeman. She attended school at New Harmony in Pontotoc County. After retiring from Blue Bell Industries, she became an insurance agent with AFLAC where she worked for more than twenty years. She was a faithful member of West Jackson Street Baptist Church where she served the Lord in numerous capacities.
Services will be 12, Noon Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Doug Jones officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include two sons, James Francis (Jo Anne) of Pontotoc and Wayne Francis (Nan) of Tupelo; three grandchildren, Rob Francis (Melanie) of Saltillo, Rae Ann Francis of New Orleans, Louisana and Amber Francis of Pontotoc; three great-grandsons, Grayson Francis of Saltillo, Caleb Clifton and Gage Strevel of Pontotoc; one brother, Doc Freeman (Nancy) of Endville; one sister, Bobbie Jean Frost (Rufus) of Tupelo; and a host of neices and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of sixty years, Floyd Francis on December 12, 2008, one sister and two brothers.
Pallbearers will be Trey Wilemon, Buddy Davis, Billy Langford, Rob Francis, Don Carr and Tommy Vickers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Parks, Junior Wilemon, Grayson Francis, Caleb Clifton, Gage Strevel and the staff of AFLAC, Saltillo.
