Tupelo - CHRISTEL AGNES "CHRIS BRAUN, 63, died Tuesday, December 5, 2006, at North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. She was born in Germany August 10, 1943 to the late August and Anneliese Nagelke Schlter. After living in Minneapolis for 20 years, she and her husband, Herb, moved to Tupelo in 1984. She enjoyed computers and photography and was an avid Elvis fan. She will be remembered as a sweet and loving lady who had a hug for everyone she met.
Memorial Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Ricky Young officiating.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Herb Braun of Tupelo; one daughter, Gloria Backes and husband, Loren, of Mooreville; one son, Steve Braun and wife, Teresa, of Tupelo; a brother, Fred Schlter, of Nrenberg, Germany; three grandchildren, Jayson Backes, Brandie Backes, and Garrett Braun.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Harold Schlter.
Visitation will be immediately following the memorial service Wednesday at the funeral home.
