Plantersville - Christopher Lee Spillman, 46, passed away surrounded by his family Thursday, April 26, 2018, at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born in Tupelo May 22, 1971, to Roy Wigginton and Wanda Grisham. A 1989 graduate of Texas Christian Academy in Arlington, Texas, he was one of very few who ever won All-State in both offense and defense while playing football. He also attended college at Trident Technical College in Forth Worth, Texas. He was a forklift operator at Grammer, Inc. until his death. He had also worked for Sansone Security working numerous concerts at the Bancorpsouth Arena. Chris was an avid movie fan and was often seen at various area theaters and at his favorite restaurant, Taco Bell. He loved watching football and wrestling. He was of the Baptist Faith.



Survivors include his wife, Donna Spillman; his mother, Wanda Grisham of Plantersville; his father, Greg Spillman of Scottsdale, Arizona; four brothers, Joseph Spillman of Austin, Texas, Daniel Spillman and his wife, Teri of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Steve Wigginton and his wife, Carol of Mooreville and Shayne Baswell and his wife, Toni of Plantersville; one sister, Audra Spillman of Scottsdale; four special nieces and a nephew who he helped raise and were the love of his life, Jonathan Skelton, Amanda McCaine, Amber Floyd, Ashley Rawson and Brandi Holland; a niece and other nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.



He was preceded in death by his biological father, Roy Wigginton.



Visitation will be from 4 until 7 Sunday, April 29, 2018 at W.E. Pegues, Tupelo.



Services honoring his life will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 30, 2018 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues. Graveside services will follow in Plantersville Cemetery.



Pallbearers will be Jr. Langley, Scott Rawson, Tony Webb, Michael Mitchell, Jonathan Baswell, Jamie Kincade, Richie Sansone and Matthew McCaine.



Honorary Pallbearers will be Chris's brothers and Tony Neece.



The service will be live streamed and recorded for those who may not be able to attend at www.peguesfuneralhome.com .
