CHARLIE FAY EASTERLING
Saltillo - Charlie Fay Easterling, 96, died Monday, May 21, 2012, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after a lengthy illness. A life-long Saltillo resident, she was born on Birmingham Ridge December 17, 1915, to John Carol and Kate Martin Wood. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Saltillo. She was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her children, cooking and baking.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at The Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Dr. Ken Anderson officiating. Burial will be in McNeil Cemetery.
Survivors include her children, James Easterling (Linda Kelly) of Endville and Agnes Loden (Ebb) of Saltillo; five grandchildren, Rhonda Carlock (Steve) of Saltillo, Michelle Porch (Joe) of Blue Springs, Susan Moxley (Steve) of Tupelo, Andy Loden (Rita) of Saltillo and Lori Bostick (Larry) of Saltillo; six great-grandchildren, Jeremy Carlock (Shannah), Katie Carlock Young (Tyler), Keegan Porch (Charlie), Chase Porch (Jordan), Lexi Loden and Brianna Holt; six great-great grandchildren; three step-grandchildren, Kristian Joshlin (Chris), Bethany Bishop (Levi) and Tommy Bostick, all of Saltillo; three step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Easterling; her son, Thomas Easterling; her sister, Evelyne Riley.
Pallbearers will be Chase, Joe and Keegan Porch, Andy Loden, Steve Carlock and Steve Moxley.
Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at the Saltillo Funeral Home.
