CHARLES EDWARD WIGGINTON
Tupelo - Charles Edward "Squeak" Wigginton, 77, died Friday, Feb. 24, 2006, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. A Lee County native, he was born April 28, 1928, to the late James Lenard and Ollie Mae Johnson Wigginton. He retired from Leggett & Platt Inc. He was a member of Skyline Baptist Church. He was proud to serve in the U. S. Army in the Korean War as a corporal.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with the Rev. Castor Buse, the Rev. Donny Riley and the Rev. Andy Dozier officiating. Burial will be in the Eggville Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Frances Dozier Wigginton; one son, Michael Edward "Eddie" Wigginton and his wife, Linda, of Mesquite, Texas; seven grandchildren, Kelly, Ashley, Hunter, Halle, Melanie, Misty and Johnny; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Helen Dozier Dye of Tupelo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers, Cecil, Demp, Bill and Rayburn Wigginton.
Pallbearers will be John, Rickey, Junior and Steve Wigginton, Larry and Joe Malone.
Visitation will continue until service time today at the funeral home.
