CHARLIE ROBISON
TupeloCharles Reed "Charlie Robison, Sr., 72, died suddenly, Thursday,
August 18, 2005, at his residence in Tupelo. He was born October 14, 1932, to the late Raymond M. and Sula Belle Spearman Robison at Forest Lake Dairy, today known as Ballard Park.
A 1950 graduate of Tupelo High School, He also graduated from Itawamba Junior College and was a 1954 graduate of Mississippi State University in 1954. He was an avid Mississippi State fan. He was a member of the Parkway Baptist Church. He enjoyed woodworking and building birdhouses. He enjoyed camping in his motor home and was a member of the Good Sam Club. He was a Master Mason in Lodge #318, Scottish Rite and Shrine Club. He was in the U.S. Army in the mid 1950s serving in France and Belgium. He was Personnel Manager for Purnells Pride, Mid-South Packers, and Olympic Products. He was also in insurance sales with Equitable and Jefferson Standard. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club for over 25 years, serving as Club President, Secretary, Treasurer and Division Lt. Governor. He was also a volunteer for the United Way.
Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, August 21, 2005 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Dr. Len Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Kay Robison of Tupelo; one daughter, Lisa Radlinski and husband, Paul of Geneva, Illinois; one son, Reed Robison of Tupelo; one brother, Dr. Rud Robison, Sr. and his wife, Nancy of Tupelo; one sister, Ann Robison of San Ramon, California; three grandchildren, Lauren, Amy and Michael Radlinski of Geneva, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Sid and Carl Robison.
Pallbearers will be Rud Robison, Jr., Andy and Ronnie Robison, Ben Logan, Lynn Bryan, and Kirk Kitchens. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Cristil, Jerry Bristow and George Govatos.
