Charles Parchman

CHARLES "CHARLIE" PARCHMAN   Shannon - Charles Parchman, 82, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at his home. A lifelong resident of Shannon, he was born October 11, 1933, to Jeff and Elmira Jaggers Parchman. He graduated from Shannon High School in 1954, and served in the United States Army for two years. On July 29, 1972, Charles married Kathy Brooks. Charles was a farmer who loved gardening and loved working the land. He loved playing cards with his buddies, sons and grandsons. Charles loved his children and grandchildren. He was Methodist by faith.   Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2016, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues. A graveside service will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.   Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Kathy Parchman; children, Billy Parchman (Lynn), Madonna Mason, Buck McIntosh (Tammy), Jeff Parchman (Tonjia), Kitty Baughman and Angel Parchman all of Shannon; stepson, Tommy Edwards of Shannon; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Ruby Brooks of Okalona.   He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Sonny Parchman and one infant brother.   Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Josh Clippard, Charlie Baughman, Jeff Parchman, Jr., Adam Parchman, Josey Mason and Justin Chandler. Honorary pallbearers will be Gerald Halcomb, Don Westmoreland, Brad Ratliff, Buddy Baughman, Mike Filgo and Fred Brown.   Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2016, at W. E.
