Charles V. "Chuck" Imbler

CHUCK IMBLER Belden - Charles V. "Chuck" Imbler, Jr. completed his life on earth Tuesday, April 9, 2013. After a valiant and brave fight against cancer, his body finally succumbed although his will and spirit were strong to the end. God simply called him home! Chuck was born in Memphis, TN on February 24, 1957, to Chuck and Sue Imbler. Chuck attended Holy Rosary School as a young boy. During that time he served as an altar boy at Holy Rosary Church. Chuck and his parents moved to Tupelo during his sixth grade year. He entered Milam Junior High School, where he met and made many lifelong friends. As a 1975 Tupelo High School graduate, Chuck was an honor student. He lettered in football and golf. Chuck was an avid Ole Miss fan. He received his undergraduate and MBA degrees from the University of Missisippi. He was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. Upon graduation from Ole Miss, Mr. Imbler joined Navistar Corporation. He worked in several of their regional offices to include Kansas City, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and San Francisco. He served in the Chicago national headquarters as Navistar's Director of Marketing for parts. He also served as Manager of Medium Duty Sales. Chuck returned home to Tupelo in 1995 to join his father in their family businesses. He served as President of Truck Center, Inc. Chuck has served as the national President of both the Navistar and Idealease Dealer Associations. He is a past graduate of the CDF Leadership Lee. He served on the Tupelo Throughfare Committee for many years. Chuck was instrumental and took pride in road growth in Tupelo. He is a member of the Tupelo Kiwanis Club and was a past president of the organization. Mr Imbler was also a loyal supporter of Tupelo Public Schools. He and his wife were honored as the Academics for Excellence members of the year. Chuck enjoyed life to the fullest. In addition to Ole Miss athletics, he enjoyed many professional championship venues. He was a fan! Chuck attended the Superbowl, the Final Four, The Masters and played golf, himself, at Pebble Beach, Ireland and Scotland. His greatest joy in life, though, was attending events at Ole Miss and traveling with his wife and two daughters. He will be dearly missed by his family. Chuck was a member of St. James Catholic Church. He attended and supported First United Methodist Church with his wife and girls. Chuck is survived by his wife, Trentice Imbler, and his two daughters, Mallie, 15, and Carrol Trent, 11. He is also survived by his parents, Chuck and Sue Imbler of Tupelo, and in-laws, Lael and Mary Gooch, a brother-in-law, Trent Gooch, all of New Albany, and a sister-in-law, Terrie Gooch of Columbus. Pallbearers will be Pat Caldwell, Mitch Ellett, Jim Ingram, Jr., Glenn McCullough, Jr., Mark Monts, Jim Pettis, Jimmy Robbins and Larry Stewart. Honorary Pallbearers will be all employees of Truck Center, Inc. and Idealease of Tupelo. Visitation for Chuck will be in the First United Methodist Church Sanctuary Thursday, April 11, 2013, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. The funeral service, also at FUMC Sanctuary - Tupelo, will be Friday, April 12, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jim Curtis, Father Henry Shelton, Rev. Lynn Mote and Rev. Colby Cuevas officiating. A Eulogy will be given by Pat Caldwell. Interment will be at Tupelo Memorial Park. W. E.
