Charlene McMasters

Shannon - Charlene Hall McMasters, 79, died Thursday, July 9, 2009, at Tupelo Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a brief illness. A Verona native, she was born November 17, 1929, to Charles and Elaine Birmingham Hall. She had lived in Shannon over 30 years. She was retired from Action Industries after 18 years of service. She loved fishing and her dog, Blackjack and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues. Burial will be in Brewer Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband of over 50 years, Johnny McMasters of Shannon; one daughter, Penny Lepard of Pontotoc; two sons, John McMasters, Jr and Richard McMasters, both of Shannon; one brother, Robert Wilson (Nancy) of Tupelo; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Holder Homan, Tony Homan, Trey McMasters, Trent McMasters, Tyler Homan, Clint Edge.

Visitation will be noon until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
