Fulton - Charlene McKnatt, 70, died Tuesday, August 10, 2010, at The Courtyard Nursing Center after an extended illness. A native of Guntown, she was born October 10, 1939 to George Washington and Otis Lee Nichols Raburn. She worked for many years at Woolco Department Store. She enjoyed eating at Dixie Creek, taking care of others and making people happy. She was a member of South Green Baptist Church.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Bro. Scott Nicholson and Eddie McKnatt officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Charles McKnatt of Tupelo; two daughters, Rhonda Hopper (Michael) and Vickey Hester (Mike); one son, Eddie McKnatt (Natasha); four sisters, Brenda Hall (Tommy), Jacki Davis (Thomas), Leona Raburn and Joyce Smith; one brother, Ray "Vester" Raburn (Pauline); six grandchildren, Monica Nix (Jeff), Jeremy Hopper, Chris Hester (Ashley), Nicole Hester, Laken McKnatt, and Kelsy McKnatt; and three great-grandchildren, Rileigh and Skylar Nix and Conner Hester.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Bernice Wylie and Magalene Webb; and two brothers, James Robbins and Hoyel Raburn.
Pallbearers will be Mike Stephens, Jeremy Hopper, Jeff Nix, Chris Hester, Calem Glidewell and James Hall.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Timmy Lyles, Jimmy Bruce, Vic Bonner, and Steven Raburn.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
