CECIL H. ROBINSON
Tupelo - Cecil Horace Robinson, 86, died Saturday, June 2, 2006, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born March 17, 1920, in Memphis to Samuel Robinson and Lillian Bishop Robinson. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater. He was retired from the Mississippi Department of Transportation where he was a welder and mechanic.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with the Rev. Terry Ledbetter officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include his daughter, Wanda Breedlove and husband, Bob, of Tupelo; his grandson, Bobby Breedlove and wife, Jan, of Clinton; one great-grandchild, Lauren Breedlove of Clinton; one sister-in-law, Eura Robinson Timms; and his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Opal Kirby Robinson, who died Aug. 16, 1996; and five brothers, Edward Robinson, Paul Robinson, Howard Robinson, Ercel Lee Robinson and Maxwell Rudolph Robinson.
His nephews will serve as pallbearers, Donald Wayne Robinson, Bobby Gene Robinson, Wendel Robinson, Mike Robinson, James Howard Robinson, Joel Robinson, Bobby Joe Baggett and Doyle Robinson.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
