Cayce Banks Livingston

Tupelo - Cayce Banks Livingston, died Thursday, July 5, 2012. He was born September 21, 1917 to the late Cayce L. and Mary Belle Livingston of Belden, Mississippi. A graduate of Mississippi State University, he joined the Navy and served from 1941 to 1945. He also served as the head of PMA in Tunica County, taught school in Burnsville for five years and in 1952 returned to Tupelo where he bought a farm. He went to work for the postal service where he served 27 years as Sectional Center Manager/Postmaster of Tupelo. He was well known for his collection of Indian artifacts, a life-time hobby. He was also a long-time member of the Harrisburg Baptist Church. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 8, 2012 at Harrisburg Baptist Church with Dr. Forrest Sheffield and Rev. David Langerfeld officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors will be assisting with the arrangements. Survivors include his wife, May D. Livingston of Tupelo; two sons, John Banks Livingston (Theresa) of McComb and A. Dixon Livingston (Kay) of Russsellville, Alabama; one sister, Mary Agnes Cook; a special nephew, Steve Cook; two nieces, Mary Lee Bryson and Caye Cook; two grand-children, Nikki Morgan (Stewart) and Terri Livingston-Austin; three step-grandchildren, Kelly Moak, Eric Wells (Shauna), Heather Keil (Kraig); seven great-grandchildren, Taylor Morgan, Sydney Morgan, Easton Morgan, and twins Camden and Callie Morgan, Molly Austin, Banks Austin; five step-great grandchildren, Makayla Moak, Reagan Wells, Drayton Wells, Cooper Kiel, Katherine Kiel. He was preceded in death by his parents Cayce L. and Mary Belle Livingston of Belden. Pallbearers will be Stewart Morgan, Jack Livingston, Jim Livingston, Eric Wells, Kraig Kiel, and Darwyn Cozart. Honorary pallbearers will be Weylan McPherson, Gerald McGill, Murray Coward, Bob Fulgham, Ray Warren, Frank Key, and Harold Livingston. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the Jefferson Street Chapel and one hour prior to services Sunday.
