Belden— on Monday March 3, 2025, at the tender age of four years old, Carson Philip Box met Jesus face to face. He was born July 23, 2020 to Samuel and Courtney Slaughter Box. Carson was a delight to his family and everyone he met. He loved being outside soaking up the sunshine and playing with his rattles. He greeted anyone he saw with an enthusiastic “Hey!” While his family will miss him dearly, they take comfort in knowing they will one day be reunited in Heaven and Carson will no longer experience the pain and suffering of life on earth.
Carson is survived by his mom and dad, Samuel and Courtney Box; his siblings, Collin, Kinley, and Connor; grandparents, Gregg and Loreen Slaughter and Jimmy Box Sr.; great-grandfather, Tilton Stringer; aunts and uncles, Adam Slaughter (Lauren), Jimmy Box Jr. (Beth), Ken Stewart, and Jessica Hensley (Chris); and a host of extended family and friends who thought the world of Carson.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Doris Box; great-grandmother, Patsy Stringer; and his uncle Anthony Box.
A celebration of Carson’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at Harrisburg Baptist Church with Pastor Rob Armstrong officiating. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time. Pegues Funeral Directors is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
