CAROLYN RUSSELL Saltillo - Carolyn Irene Russell, 77, died Monday, June 23, 2014, at her home. She was born June 23, 1937 to Jack and Stella Jordan Whitehead. She was a retired seamstress with Hunter Sadler and she never lost her love for sewing. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m at Christian's Rest Cemetery in Lafayette Springs Thursday, June 26, 2014. W. E. Pegues, Saltillo is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include two sons; David Russell (Cathy) and Eddie Russell both of Saltillo; one granddaughter, Summer Russell of Kansas City, Missouri; one sister, Kathryn Lorene Whitehead of Lafayette Springs, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Russell; her parents; three brothers; four sisters. Visitation will be 4 p.m. -8 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the W. E. Pegues, Saltillo. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
