COL. CAROLYN E. BOBO
Tupelo - Col. Carolyn E. Bobo, U. S. Air Force, Retired, 77, died Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo after a sudden illness. She was born August 9, 1929 to the late Stephen Leroy and Sarah Delila Lowe Bobo in El Dorado, Arkansas. She was raised in Goodman and was a graduate of Holmes Agricultural High School, Holmes Community College, and Mississippi State College for Women. She retired to Biloxi from the Air Force in 1979 after 25 years of service. She relocated to Tupelo after her home was destroyed during Hurricane Katrina. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Graveside services with full military honors will be 11 a.m. Friday at Corinth National Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Winders officiating. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by one brother, George L. Bobo, Sr. and his wife, Patricia M. Bobo of Tupelo; one nephew, George L. Bobo, Jr. of Brandon; two great nephews, Sgt. Jason Bobo of Anchorage, Alaska, and Nicholas Bobo of Dundee; one great niece, Allison Plaisance of Lockport, Louisiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one nephew, Gene Bobo.
