CAROL SKELTON Saltillo - Carol Jean Skelton, 68, died Saturday, October 13, 2012, at her residence after an extended illness. She was born in Ashland, August 10, 1944, to Clarence Jordan and Addie Mae Walker. She resided most of her early years in Ashland and was a graduate of Ashland High School. She worked for over twenty years with Wurlitzer Piano Co. in Holly Springs. Later she worked for over twenty years as a photographer with PCA Studios in Wal-Mart on North Gloster. She loved growing flowers and spending time with her family and friends. She was known for her exceptional cooking and enjoyed cooking for others. A long time member of Mayfield Church of Christ, she was active in her ministry to others and was active with church visitations. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Mayfield Church of Christ with Minister Adam Miller officiating. Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. in Ashland Church of Christ Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors will be in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include two sons, Stephen C. Skelton (Chris) of Holly Springs and Michael E. Skelton (Kerri) of Saltillo; one brother, Don Jordan of Augusta, Georgia; six grandchildren, Tiffany N. Kiddy of Oxford, Stephanie L. Skelton of Jackson, Charles B. Skelton of Oxford, Madison B. Skelton of Saltillo, Ashlee T. Thompson of Saltillo and Lynsey J. Skelton of Saltillo. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Alton, Raybon, Gary and Lanny Jordan. Visitation will be 5 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2012 at the funeral home in Saltillo.
