Carol Sanderford, 83, died Monday, May 27, 2019, at Tupelo Nursing and Rehabilitation, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. A Union County native, she was born April 7, 1936, to James and Thelma Froman but was raised by her precious grandmother in Myrtle. For 20 years, she lived in Olive Branch with her husband Richard until his death on December 12, 2013 and she moved back to Tupelo. Carol loved sewing, crafting, decorating for the holidays and working in her flower garden. She was an animal lover and always had pets in her home. She was a member of Cedar View Baptist Church in Olive Branch.
Survivors include five sons, Tommy Beasley and his wife, Faye of Verona, Billy Beasley of Mooreville, Jimmy Beasley of Pontotoc, Ricky Sanderford and his wife, Amanda of Mooreville and Stoney Sanderford of Olive Branch; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Richard Sanderford.
Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
Services honoring her life will be 1 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2019, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. Bob O'Neal officiating. The eulogy will be given by Ricky Sanderford and Stoney Sanderford. Graveside services will follow in Lee Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Blake Sanderford, Austin Sanderford, Daniel Sanderford, Ben Beasley, Tommy Beasley, Jr. and Matthew Beasley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Willis and Bill Beasley.
