CARL MCKISSICK Saltillo - Carl McKissick, 86, died Friday, January 30, 2015, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. Carl was born November 25, 1928, to the late Henry Grady and Ada Bell Pettigrew McKissick. He retired from Rockwell/Delta after 42 years of service. He was a member and deacon of Fellowship Baptist Church and recently attending Oak Hill Methodist Church. He loved spending time doing outdoor hobbies such as hunting, fishing, camping, four wheeler riding, gardening and particiapted in water skiing well into his 70's. Carl also in his earlier years loved raising Beagles. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, February 2, 2015, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Donnie Riley and Rev. Ronald McCully officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include his daughter, Judy Beard and husband, Travis, of Tupelo; two sons, Carl Thomas "Buddy" McKissick and wife, Pat, of Fulton, and Bobby Joe McKissick of Saltillo; seven grandchildren, Jo Lyn Haynes, Mallory Morgan McKissick, Hannah Marie Locke (Brandon), Tyler Linder Beard, Peyton Claybourne Beard (Claire), Bobby Joe McKissick, Jr., and Hasten Baker McKissick; four great-grandchildren, Chapman, Stella, Braden, and Vayda Haynes; one brother, Marvin McKissick (Carole) of Wren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Frances Baker McKissick; his grandson, Brice Austin McKissick; his parents; three brothers, William Thomas "Buddy" McKissick, James McKissick and and Billy McKissack. Pallbearers will be Jo Lyn Haynes, Mallory Morgan McKissick, Hannah Marie Locke, Tyler Linder Beard, Peyton Claybourne Beard, Bobby Joe McKissick, Jr., Hasten Baker McKissick and Ryan Sewell. Memorials may be made to the Brice McKissick Scholarship Fund c/o Oak Hill Methodist Church, 1328 Rd. 885, Saltillo, MS 38866. Visitation will be 3 - 5 p.m. Sunday, February 1, 2015, at W. E.
