Mooreville - Calvin Jeffery "Pete Collums, 37, died Monday, June 26, 2006, as the result of an accident. A native of Louisiana, he was born November 15, 1968 to Julia Maxine Collums and the late S. E. Collums. He had lived in Mooreville and worked as a truck driver. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Billy Studdard officiating. Burial will be in Collums Cemetery in Chickasaw County.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Witcher Collums of Mooreville; three children,Tony Collums, Calvin J. Collums, Jr., and Kurstie Collums, all of the home; his mother, Julia Maxine Collums, and step-father, Sidney Bertherlot of Tupelo; five brothers, Danny Kidd of Pontotc, Scott Collums of Walnut, Gene Collums of Plantersville, Rex Collums of Amite, La., and Kenny Collums of Denim Springs, La.; and one aunt, Mary Thames, of Amite, La.
He was preceded in death by his father, S. E. Collums, and a sister, Ann McGregory.
Pallbearers will be Tony White, Lee Witcher, Johnny Stevenson, Robbie Gumm, Phillip Smith, Wesley Cox, Tony Witcher and Randy Witcher.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
