Mooreville - BRENDA LOUISE SMITH, 60, died Monday, March 3, 2008, at Community Hospice after an extended illness. A Tupelo native, she was born December 25, 1947 to Mable Virginia Walker Pannell and the late Eulon Rowoll Pannell. She was a beloved mother and grandmother who enjoyed gardening and had a great love of animals. She enjoyed bingo and spoiling her grandchildren. She loved life and all of its joy.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Bro. Timmy Patterson and Rev. John McAlister officiating. Burial will be in Brewer Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Telisha Webb and husband, Blaine,of Mooreville; three sons, Johnny Martin and wife, Tammy, Wayne Tackett and wife, Shellie, Chris Ellis and wife, Amanda, all of Mooreville; her mother Mable Pannell of Mooreville; ten grandchildren, James Martin of Pontotoc, Michaela Martin, of Pontotoc, Krista Tackett, Allen Tackett, Austin Ellis, Jade Webb, Caleb Webb, Brayden Ellis, Landon Ellis, and Chelsea Ellis, all of Mooreville; three step-grandchildren, Christopher White, Austin White, and Justin White, all of Mooreville; one sister, Pam Patterson of Mooreville; one brother, Steve Pannell and wife, Brenda, of Belden; special friends Joel and Linda Mitchell of Mooreville.
She was preceded in death by her father, Eulon Rowoll Pannell and a daughter, Tammy Tackett.
Pallbearers will be Robert Patterson, Jimmy Patterson, Timmy Patterson, James Martin, Joey Hunt, and Austin White.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
