She worked as a cosmologist in Red Bay and Tupelo, was the salon manager for J.C. Penny's in Tupelo, became a successful business owner of B. B.'s Hairkutters, and was a licensed real estate agent.

She was well known for her positive attitude even under the most adverse conditions, and an inspiration to many.  During the time that Brenda was ill, she gained a very special friend, Jackie Stone, better known as “Jackie O.”  Jackie is very much part of the Bridges family now.  We thank her from the bottom of our hearts for loving Brenda.
