Boyce Palmer

Saltillo - Boyce Wayne Palmer, 66, died Sunday, May 16, 2010, at The North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born in Plantersville on March 2, 1944 to Arlie Jewett and Burma Lee Patton Palmer. He was a printing press operator with Weatherall's Printing of Tupelo for 15 years and retired from Star Printing of Amory after many years of loyal employment.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Tim Winters officiating. Burial will be in Priceville Cemetery.

Survivors include two sons, Tony Palmer and his wife Vicki, Trevor Palmer and his wife Heather, both of Tupelo; one daughter, Deborah McCoy and her husband Ronnie of Baldwyn; six sisters, Janette Nash and her husband Darwin of Jackson, Janell Palmer of Birmingham, AL, Dorothy Kennedy and her husband Lee of Amory, Frances Dill of Westpoint, Linda Counts and her husband William "Shorty" of Hatley, Joyce Cantrell and her husband David of Tupelo; nine grandchildren, Shey Washburn and her husband Luke of Horsham, Pennsylvania, Chris Palmer and his wife Angela of Starkville, Hunter Riley of Tupelo, Kyle Palmer of Tupelo, Chelsea Palmer of Tupelo, Houston McCoy of Baldwyn, Will Palmer of Tupelo, Meg Palmer of Tupelo, and Jacob Christian of Mooreville; one great grandchild, Andrew Riley.

He was preceded in death by his father Arlie Jewett Palmer and his mother Burma Lee Palmer; four brothers, Charles, Arlie, Trice and Cecil Palmer.

Pallbearers will be George Snow, Michael Snow, Brad Lackey, Chris Palmer, Hunter Riley and Houston McCoy.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Jacob Christian.

Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at the funeral home.
