Bonnie Cheek Chesterville Community- Our beloved Bonnie Jean Cheek passed away on November 1, 2015 in the Chesterville Community area of Tupelo, Mississippi. She was born to Helen and Rudy Muhr on March 20, 1952, in East Chicago, Indiana. She was a graduate of Gavit High School in Hammond, Indiana. Bonnie loved spending time with nature, watching old comedies and visiting her Uncle Ed's dairy farm in Pulaski, Wisconsin when she was young on Holidays. She was adventurous and loved riding tractors, picking apples and following her beloved Uncle Ed as he did chores on the farm. She was a homemaker, had a great sense of humor and enjoyed gardening. She surrounded herself with witty quotes, family heirlooms and pictures from the dairy farm she loved so much. Bonnie had a caring spirit that drew animals to her. Dogs and cats have wandered up her road and found their forever home. She enjoyed feeding hummingbirds and watching them return every year. Bonnie had a gentle nature and cared for animals around the clock to help them survive. She took care of her dying father in his final hours. She always picked out fun and offbeat gifts that were thoughtful and memorable for years Her family will miss her surprises, words of encouragement and long phone calls. Bonnie was truly one of a kind. She always put her family first, and was loved dearly by them.
