Saltillo- An honorable and selfless woman, Bobbie Gail Martin, was called to our Lord to join him and family members who have gone before in eternal life on Monday, April 10, 2023, at her home. She was 71 years old. She entered the world on June 21, 1951, the child of Zebe and Ruby Hallmark. At the age of 16, she married her sweetheart, Doyle Martin. The two were married 55 years, most of which were spent around the Springhill area in Saltillo.
She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a doting grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, flower gardening, and caring for her cats and dogs. Never one to complain, she prioritized the needs of others and would do anything she could to help her family and friends. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and enjoyed learning God’s word.
Bobbie Gail leaves behind her husband, Doyle of Saltillo; her sons, Lonnie Martin and Randy Martin of Saltillo, and Jeffrey Martin (Sarah) of Fulton; daughter and best friend, Lacy Plaxico (Allan) of Mooreville; grandchildren, Cameron and Abby Martin, Draven Plaxico, and Silas and Jude Martin; Godson, Michael Orsborn (Glenda) of Plantersville; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers, Donnie and Elbert Hallmark.
Visitation will be 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Pegues, Saltillo.
Services honoring her life will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2023, at the Saltillo Chapel of Pegues with Bro. Jimmy Wilbanks officiating. Burial will follow at Fellowship Cemetery.
