BOBBIE CLARK CARR
Pontotoc - Bobbie Clark Carr, 69, died suddenly Saturday, May 20, 2006, at her home in Pontotoc. She was born June 3, 1936, in Lee County to Willie Ed Edwards and Ethel Mae Rhuddy Edwards. She was a former resident of the Temple Grove community. She was a graduate of the Nettleton High School Class of 1955. She was an inspector for Reed's Manufacturing in Nettleton and a member of Temple Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed yard work and was an avid pet lover, especially her dog, Bouncer.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Dr. Wallace Cayson officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery south of Plantersville.
Survivors include two sons, Andy Clark and wife, Marty, of Nettleton and Scotty Clark and wife, Leslie, of Guntown; the father of her children, Lonzo Clark of Nettleton; two sisters, Willie Mae Jobe and Sarah Louise Parker, both of Tupelo; one brother, John Edwards of Plantersville; four grandchildren, Gabriel Clark, Mallory Clark, Alex Clark and Mason Clark; her former husband, Johnny Carr of Pontotoc.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Lucille Alred; and a grandson, Josh Clark.
Pallbearers will be Prentice Brown, Gary Garrett, Mark Haygood, John Cameron, Judd Culver and Heath Gobel.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
