TUPELO Robert F. Bob Wright, 63, died Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. A Tupelo native, he was born June 2, 1946, to Sally Mae and Frank Wright. He was a graduate of Tupelo High School and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. After returning home from the war, he began working for CSA. In 2005 he retired as Director of Operations after 36 years of employment. He was a faithful member of St. Luke United Methodist Church.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Luke United Methodist Church with Dr. Rick Brooks officiating. A eulogy will be given by Danny Russell. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Brenda Wright; two daughters, Kaci Wright of Tupelo and Kim Benefield (Glen) of Pontotoc; two brothers, Jim Wright (Peggy) of Tupelo and Don Wright (Marilynn) of Saltillo; three grandchildren, Nikki Gardner, Shelly Clemons (Chris) and Matt Dyer; three great-grandchildren, Chloe, Kaitlyn and Rylee; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Terri Cook; and one son, Keith Malone.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Wright, Larry Wright, Mike Wright, Matt Dyer, Leon Cochran, Tim Roland, Larry Beasley and Dan Jenkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Barnett, Tom Cupit, St. Luke Coffee Shop Group and CSA retirees.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
