Bob "Pop" Rundquist, Sr.

Saltillo – Robert W. Rundquist, Sr., 81, passed away Monday, February 27, 2017, at his home. He was born November 4, 1935 to Edward and Mabel Hermanson Rundquist in Illinois. Pop, as he was affectionately called by many, married Dorothy Ruth on June 1, 1963. He served his country in the United States Army and worked for Civil Service in the Department of Defense and retired from the Defense Logistics Agency after 38 years. He enjoyed race cars and racing them with his son. Pop was a diehard Cubs fan and loved his children and grandchildren. He was Baptist by faith.



Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Dorothy Rundquist of Saltillo; children, James Wiggins of Tupelo, Cathy Smith Rundquist of Saltillo, Bob Rundquist, Jr. (Jackie) of Saltillo and Pamela Winkler (Albert) of Wyoming; grandchildren, Addison, Laura Beth, Kim, Ben, Megan, Shelby, Jake, Sydne and Heather and great-grandchildren, Mia, Drew, Mason, Nathan and T. J.



He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Rob Smith.
