BILLY GLENN HOING Brewer Community - Billy Glenn Hoing, 65, died Thursday, May 14, 2015, at his residence after an extended illness. He was born in the Randolph Community on January 14, 1950, to William Bernard and Evelyn Houpt Hoing. After graduating high school, he went on to obtain his professional degree in drafting. Billy was a former employee of Day Brite Lighting, Tupelo Tool & Die and Martinrea Fabco Inc. On May 9, 1974, he married the love of his life, Marilyn McDuffy and began building a lifetime of memories. Billy was a member of St. James Catholic Church and was known as both a man of faith and family. Also, he was a 4th degree Knights of Columbus and was very active in the organization. Billy enjoyed farming with his brothers and gardening. He was an avid fisherman and loved taking his daughter, Amy, grandson, Zane and nephew, Spencer with him. He was an Ole Miss and New Orleans Saints football fan and also enjoyed hunting and loved anything outdoors. Billy was a loved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, who will be greatly missed. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, May 18, 2015, at St. James Catholic Church with Father Lincoln Dall, Father Tim Murphy, Father Henry Shelton and Father Albeenreddy Vatti officiating. Burial will be in Glassgow Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Randolph. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include his wife of forty-one years, Marilyn McDuffy Hoing of Brewer Community; one daughter, Amy Glennis Hoing Chapman (Jason) of Pontotoc; one grandchild, Elijah Zane Chapman of Pontotoc; eight siblings, Clarence Hoing (Cleo) of Mooreville, Terry Hoing (Brenda) of Pontotoc, Mary Holley (Richard) of Belden, Kenny Hoing (Wilma) of Pascagoula, Barney Hoing of Randolph, Tim Hoing (Sonia) of Randolph, Michael Hoing (Missy) of Pontotoc and Paula Hanskiewicz (Albert) of Mooreville; numerous nieces and nephews; special cousin, Corey Long of Brewer; and one uncle Judson Houpt of Randolph. He was preceded in death by one son, James Matthew Hoing; one daughter, Anna Maria Hoing; his parents, Bill and Evelyn Hoing; one brother, Wayne Hoing; and one sister-in-law, Ko Hoing. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Galen Holley, Kyle Holley, Nathan Hoing, Kevin Hoing, Ricky Hoing and Daniel Hoing. Honorary pallbearers will be Spencer Hanskiewicz, Andrew Hanskiewicz, and Alex Hoing. Visitation will be 5 until 7:45 p.m. Sunday, May 17, 2015, at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo. A Rosary Service will follow visitation.
