BILLY FARRIS Tupelo - Billy Ray Farris, 73, died Saturday, December 13, 2014, at his home in the Palmetto Community. He was born in Tupelo on March 12, 1941, to Ray and Robbie Christene Oswalt Farris. He loved riding his motorcycle, hunting, playing his piano and spending time with his family. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, December 15, 2014 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Roger Smith officiating. Burial will be in Andrews Chapel Cemetery. Survivors include his two daughters, Debby Farris (Johnny) of Chesterville and Vickie Reeves (Chris) of Pontotoc; one sister, Ann Russell (Bill) of Palmetto; two grandchildren, Chandler Reeves of Pontotoc and Steven Ray Farris of Natchez; and a special friend, Faye Nanney of the Palmetto Community. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Terry Farris. Pallbearers will be Ray and Clay Wages, Christopher and Daniel Harbor, Cobran Edwards and Bill Russell. Visitation will be 2 - 5 p.m. Sunday, December 14, 2014, at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
