BILLIE SUE LETSON HARRIS

Saltillo - BILLIE SUE LETSON HARRIS, 56, died Wednesday, August 29, 2007, at The Sanctuary Hospice House after an extended illness. A Tupelo native, she was born April 1, 1951 to the late John Hunter Letson and Jeanette Buse Letson Davis. She was a homemaker, pastor's wife and part of the Body of Christ. She was a member of Bradenton Gosple Tabernacle in Bradenton, Fla. and the Blair Gospel Tabernacle in the Blair Community. She had lived in Saltillo the last year and two months but had lived in Bradenton, Fla. for 33 years. She had also lived in Ashland, Ky. and in Corinth, MS. She attended Saltillo High School and Mooreville High School before earning her Assistant Teachers' Certification from Manatee Community College. She served as Principal of Tabernacle Christian School in Bradenton, Fla. where she taught for 23 years.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. John Paul Marlow and Rev. Wesley Kingsley officiating.

Survivors include Her husband of 40 years, James Lamar Harris of Saltillo; one daughter, Dedra Wingate and husband, Larry, of Duette, Fla., one son, Dean Harris and wife, Sherry, of Palmetto, Fla.; two sisters, Marie Stacks of Bradenton, Fla., and Gale Trimble and husband, Robert of Ellenton Fla.; five grandchildren, Lawrence Wingate of Ft. Myers, Fla., John Lamar Wingate of Bradenton, Fla., Lena Alivia Sue Wingate of Bradenton, Fla., James Hunter Harris of Palmetto,Fla., and Halee MacKenzie Harris of Palmetto Fla.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, John Letson, Jr.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Lawrence A. Wingate, John-Lamar Wingate, James Hunter Harris, Clayton Stacks, Griffin Stacks, Dean Harris and Larry Wingate.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. until service time at the Saltillo Chapel.
