BEVERLY BEDFORD

Saltillo - Beverly Bedford, 75, left this world for her heavenly home on November 23, 2015, at home surrounded by the family she loved so much. She was born on November 28, 1939, in Itawamba County to James and Minnie Shedd. Beverly and her husband, Bill, were owners of Honda of Tupelo for over 40 years. She was actively involved in the family business until her health failed.

Beverly loved the community in which she lived and worked tirelessly for the betterment of the community, serving in many different capacities over the years. For 24 years she served the citizens of Saltillo as alderwoman and several of those years serving as vice mayor. Beverly was a member of Faith Baptist Church where she served as assistant treasurer. She was a very kind and giving woman who loved her family with all her heart. Mimi, as her grandchildren called her, has left an imprint on every heart of the ones who knew her. We will hold the memories of our precious mother and Mimi in our hearts until we meet again.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Bill; two daughters, Kim Waddle of Saltillo and Leisha Boardley of St Louis, Mo.; three grandchildren, Will Francis of Saltillo, Annacarmie McCormick (Don) of Saltillo, and Courtney Boardley of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; five great-grandchildren; Makenna Kate Lyles, Lily Karole McCormick, Anna Bella McCormick, William Andrew Francis II and Archer Brent Francis all of Saltillo; three sisters, Imogene Herndon of Peaceful Valley, Eunice Hill of Mobile, Ala. and Betty Harris of Tupelo; one brother-in-law, Joe Bedford (Pat) of New Albany.

She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, John Waddle and grandson-in-law, Stephen Lyles.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 25, 2015 from 5 until 8 p.m. at W. E. Pegues, Saltillo.

The funeral service will be held Friday, November 27, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Saltillo Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Dr. Ken Anderson and Dr. Rex Yancey officiating. Burial will be in Saltillo Cemetery.
