BETTYE W. RUSSELL
Bettye W. Russell, 71, died Sunday, January 15, 2006, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born September 14, 1934, to the late Carolyn Elizabeth and Henry Lee Williams. She attended Harrisburg Baptist Church and was a member of New Albany Presbyterian Church. She was a former employee of J. C. Penney in Tupelo.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday in the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Dr. Forrest Sheffield officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park.
Survivors include her husband, Stanley Russell; three daughters, Wendy Allen, Cindy Wood, Jackie Wood Smith and her husband, Allen; all of New Albany; a step-son, Sid Russell and wife, Sandy of Pontotoc; two brothers, Jimmy Lee Williams, and wife, Wanda, of Huntsville, Alabama, and Bobby Williams, and wife, Sue, of New Albany; three grandchildren, Eddie Smith, and Colin, and Jacob Russell.
Pallbearers will be Sid Russell, Allen Smith, Eddie Smith, Bo Williams, Tony Turner, and Tommy Gossett.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Monday.
Memorials may be made to the Harrisburg Baptist Church Building Fund, 4675 Cliff Gookin Blvd., Tupelo, MS 30001
